Andrew is founder and managing partner of Havelock Wool. He has a passion for all things New Zealand and seeks to leverage his experience in investment management, senior management and business development to enhance two-way trade and capital flows between the US and NZ. His interests in NZ were refined during six years living in SE Asia. Andrew is a high energy individual who is uncomfortable without entirely too much to do. Studies include University of Chicago Booth School of Business (MBA, Finance) and Hampden- Sydney College (BA, History).
Peter is Director of Business Development for Havelock Wool. After graduating from Duke University in 1999, Pete turned west, landing in San Francisco. After an 8-year career as a trader on Wall Street, Pete enrolled at the Presidio Graduate School where he earned his MBA in Sustainable Management in the Spring of 2012. With this combination of finance and sustainability, Pete brings a unique skill set and network to the team.
Ann V. Edminster, M. Arch., founder and managing principal of Design AVEnues LLC, is an expert environmental and net-zero energy design consultant, green building teacher, speaker, and author. She consults with homeowners, builders, developers, supply chain clients, design firms, investors, utilities, and public agencies. Ann provides unmatched knowledge of sustainable and regenerative residential design and construction. She has 30 years of design experience and has guided project teams in the creation of hundreds of award-winning, high-performance homes. Her leadership and contributions – including facilitation, research, and analysis that shaped the LEED for Homes rating system – create healthy, vibrant living spaces, protect the environment, and provide economic benefits. Ann has held leadership positions on more than 25 boards and programs, including the USGBC’s LEED for Homes Committee, the USGBC’s Materials Resources Technical Advisory Group, PGE’s Zero Net Energy Program, the Earth Advantage Zero Program, and the Net Zero Energy Home Coalition.
Ian Hobbs is a co-owner, along with his brother Scott, of Hobbs, Inc. The company is a third-generation construction business based in New Canaan, CT with offices in Manhattan and Bridgehampton, Long Island. Focus is dedicated to the extreme high-end of the residential market primarily in and around the New York Metropolitan Area where nearly US$1bn of custom construction has been completed over the firm’s 55 years. Numerous accolades have been bestowed on the company including 2005 Custom Builder of the Year. They have very strong relationships across a wide variety of material suppliers and installers in the construction industry as well as close working relationships with hundreds of design professionals, consultants and engineers. Proudly, the firm is also very well versed in green building techniques. Ian received his MBA from Columbia University and did his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University.
JB is a LEED GA with extensive experience in the high-end building space. He learned the trade from the venerable Hobb's brothers at Hobbs Inc in the NY Metropolitan area before taking an ownership position in Plath & Company in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006. Plath has a reputation for exceeding expectations that spans three decades. The firm is an industry leader in historic architecture and fluent in modern, traditional and sustainable designs. At Plath JB plays a leading role in all aspects of the business with a bias toward client satisfaction. This is achieved with meticulous attention to detail while also sourcing and recommending alternative building techniques and materials. His experience ranges from ultra-modern new homes to historical Pacific Heights renovations. JB holds a B.A. in Management from Gettysburg College
